The NAWBO Orlando Take Flight Business Conference 2023, held on March 30 at Full Sail University, showcased a diverse range of sessions, keynote speeches, workshops, and panel discussions. The conference theme revolved around empowering women entrepreneurs to soar to new heights in their business ventures. The conference featured renowned speakers and presenters who shared their expertise and inspirational stories, as well as our culminating Keynote Presentation by NAWBO Member, Maryann Kilgallon, startup evangelist and founder of POMM®. Kilgallon was featured in Founding in Color, a three-part three-part docuseries from Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs, which shines the spotlight on eleven Black and Latino startup founders as they get candid about navigating race, family, identity, mental health, and more, all while building and scaling businesses in America today.

These industry leaders offered practical advice, strategies, and motivational insights to help women entrepreneurs overcome challenges and achieve their goals. The lineup of speakers represented various sectors, including technology, finance, marketing, and leadership development.

These sessions provided actionable takeaways and fostered an environment of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

PropelHER Pitch

One of the highlights of the NAWBO Orlando Take Flight Business Conference 2023 was the recognition and celebration of accomplished women entrepreneurs. NAWBO Orlando's PropelHER Business Pitch Competition empowers emerging and established female entrepreneurs by providing a platform to present their businesses to our VIP judges, community partners, sponsors, local entrepreneurs, and guests. Last year's competitors expanded their market reach, increased sales, reduced costs and improved their overall success. Congrats to our winners for this year’s event - Flow Intell - Jessica King (Emerging Category) and Crypto Tutors Lisa Francoeur (Established Category). We were thrilled to have tripled the number of submissions to pitch at this year’s event - stay tuned for information for the 2024 event!
